Hi everyone! Today I am going to share a special recipe from the most special place of my life - my hometown. Yes! It's called Kolhapuri mutton masala...Yum na!
So without wasting time let's see the ingredients-
1 kg or 2.2 lbs of goat meat mutton
2 medium sized onions
Onion and Coconut Vatan (https://ashcooks.wixsite.com/ashcooks/post/no-hassle-bread-making)
2 tsps Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
2 Bay leaves
Kolhapuri red chutney (Optional)
2-3 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
4 tbsp Oil
Salt
4 tbsp Curd/Plain Yogurt
Garam masala
For marination :-
Marinate the mutton with 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 4 tbsp curd/yogurt, turmeric, salt and red chilli powder. Keep it in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
After that boil it in the pressure cooker or instant pot for 25 mins.
In a vessel, add 4 tbsp oil let it get heated up then add bay leaves and asafoetida.
Then add 2 chopped onions and let them be slightly brown.
After this add the coconut and onion vatan/paste (the recipe is mentioned in my other post, check the link above in ingredients), red chilli powder, kolhapuri red chutney and ginger garlic paste. Cook this for 3-4 mins.
Now add the boiled mutton, cover and cook for another 5-6 mins mins.
Now add more salt, garam masala and cook it for a min. Then finally add coriander/ cilantro.
It's ready!!! I love this one the most. My husband just can't stop eating.
